How Much Are You Willing To Invest In Your Online Business

You wouldn’t think that we would have to ask that question “how much are you willing to invest in your online business”  but actually we do!

The reason is that with so many “get rich quick” schemes shouting out at you from all four corners of the internet it very easy to think that how much you are willing to invest in your online business can be a tiny amount and from that millions of dollars will miraculously appear.  The truth is that a business is not run on an investment of a few dollars!

In our experience from talking to thousands of people,  most are willing to invest in their business like a hobby but want the financial returns of a business.  We see it every single day.

We always ask the question “how much are you willing to invest in your online business” early on in the conversation so that we have the opportunity to explain it … . we explain it just like this and usually when we do, they see it straight away.

We ask if they would consider a McDonald’s franchise to be a real business.  Yes of course they say.

Do you imagine that the person who runs the McDonald’s in your area is doing ok with his business?  Yes of course they say.

Then we ask …

Do you think that person contacted McDonald’s and said “I’d like to own a McDonald’s.  Can I give you $20 and get started?

Clearly that didn’t happen and it’s just a hypothetical example.

The truth of the matter is that the McDonald’s franchisee in your area actually invested close to a million dollars to start his or her entrepreneurial endeavour.

He was prepared to invest into the franchise because he was buying into a proven system with lots of tools and support at his fingertips

How much are you willing to invest in your online business

Any online home-based business you look at must offer a balance between the initial investment and the earnings potential and give you a structured way to progress and give you income throughout the process

It’s why just looking at a business might not be enough for you to make that decision on how much you are willing to invest.  Actually talking to someone who is working the business you are interested in would be a great investment in your time …

Then you will be ready to invest in a business model you truly understand and know that with the right commitment and knowledge that you can build … we talk about that in a future post.
