Multiple Streams Of Income (MSI): Eight years ago we were slaving away as Management Consultants helping small businesses in the veterinary profession and whilst we loved what we did it just wasn’t giving us the freedom to do what we really really wanted to do.  We had a good income but we had no time, no time for us, no time for our family and no time to travel and retirement was on the horizon.

Now we are no ‘spring chickens‘ (we are both in our mid 60’s now) and we didn’t get to do the travel thing when we were younger so we decided it was now or never.

That picture is of us last year beside Sydney Harbour Bridge Australia where we had been invited to speak on entrepreneurship.  We finally achieved that “bucket list” destination.

This article has been written to answer a question asked by one of friends who was looking at working with us and had checked out our “Work With Us” page but wasn’t sure what program to get started with or which was our “primary” business.  We went on to explain about why it’s important to have one business – YOU INC – and be able to offer different options to different people because one size doesn’t fit all and our experience has shown it’s incredibly important in this volatile age of the internet to protect your long time financial security with a multiple streams of income business model

Why You Need to Build a Multiple Streams of Income Business

For our multiple streams of business model we investigated all of the possibilities and in particular the ones that would suit our desired lifestyle and harness our skills and expertise – that has always been on the “helping” side – coaching and training and business development.

We knew that people were clearly making a success of working online and it ticked the box for us.

Next step was to find an online coaching and training program that would teach us what to do ….. a few false starts and we discovered Stuart Ross and the program that he was promoting at the time.    Then clients got in the way ….. again and it got shelved for a while but we did finally get started and the rest is history as they say …….  (This may seem like a familiar story – perhaps you have been in the same boat?)

One thing became clear as we began branding ourselves and our online business – training was our passion – we were good at it and really were able to help people get out the starting blocks.

Our Multiple Streams of Income Business Model

Early on (from our days as management consultants) we knew that ‘multiple streams of income’ was the way to build a successful business (offline and online) so that was what we built our business on and is what we teach today.  It works for us and it can work for anyone else too.

Why? Because time and again we see people jump on the latest, greatest opportunity or network marketing business for example and put all their energy and time into it and then find that maybe it wasn’t for them after all, sometimes the company they got in with went ‘belly up‘ … all manner of things can and do happen.  The usual result being most people admit defeat and give up.  It doesn’t have to be that way!

If you bring various ‘business opportunities‘ into a multiple streams of income (MSI)  business just as we have then you can grow and grow and grow that business and when one ‘leg’ is not doing so well the other ‘legs’ can support it.  It’s what we call The Three Legged Stool TM.  Chris speaks about this all the time when we are teaching and training and how he learnt this way back when he was “employed” …. we said we were ‘old’!

Travel & Training – The Perfect Combination

Now we have an established brand and we are recognised for the quality of our training – we have been Master Marketing Trainers for The Six Figure Mentors and speakers, mentors and trainers for a number of other programs such as Legendary Marketer and The Super Affiliate Network as well as having created our own products and run our own workshops

This has given us leverage, time freedom and the chance to travel and fulful our passion for reaching and training.

A few years ago we opened up our home – Chalet Le Passeu – in the French Alps for a Lifestyle Traffic Mastery Retreat – just 6 delegates spending 3 days with us on an intensive, total immersion – plus of course the lifestyle, socialising and dinner ….. and it got us to thinking about our next steps ….. how to combine training with travel.

Our most recent workshop – our Online Business Breakthrough Workshop was in London in August and was a huge success so we’ll be running more of these in the UK.  Yet again the focus for everyone was that they should be creating a business where they were able to support multiple streams of income.

We taught the importance of branding ourself – YOU Inc, Target Marketing, Storytelling, Marketing Funnels, Your Big Idea and of course Traffic and Lead Generation.

Our aim is to run these from around the world in some of the places we would love to visit ….. and there’s no better time than right now so we’re excited about the future
