How To Create Your Own Lead Magnet With PLR : Before we get down to the nitty gritty of how to create your own lead magnet with PLR lets cover a bit of background of what a lead magnet is and why it’s important for you. A lead magnet is a gift (often referred to as an “ethical bribe“) that you give people in exchange for joining your subscriber list – becoming a lead – and allows you to position yourself before introducing them to our business proposition. You may often hear of this referred to as a “personal funnel“.
Lead magnets are very powerful and as one of our mentors once said “what if your lead magnet was a $100 bill. How many people do you think would join your list if you were giving out crisp $100 bills just for signing up?”
That’s the power of lead magnets!
We’ve got multiple give-aways like this to attract leads and prospects to look at our primary business and since this is for us all about business education and entrepreneurship they can include personal development, mindset, social media training, affiliate marketing training, list building training etc
But like you as you are reading this, we really don’t want to go out and create the content ourselves and that’s why we use PLR to create our lead magnets.
What is PLR?
PLR stands for Private Label Rights and is a “licence” used for various digital products such as articles, software, graphic templates, video and eBooks. It allows you to legally edit and publish content as your own and whilst licences differ with each author and seller the basic premise is that the license permits the buyer to re-brand the content under their own name and brand. This is a huge benefit to entrepreneurs and business owners like yourselves who just don’t have the time or skills to create content particularly when just starting out.
Note : Private Label Content comes with different rights depending on the developer so it’s important to thoroughly check each license prior to use, to become familiar with any restrictions that may be in place
From our experience, the easiest lead magnet to make is a PDF Download in the form of an eBook or a Mini Book – they’re easy to read on all devices and a perfect positioning tool as you begin the process of your prospect to getting to know, like and trust you.
We love PLR because the provider already did half the work! It’s like buying those break-and-make chocolate chip cookies from the grocery store. Someone else already gathered the ingredients, mixed them together, put them into an easy-to-use shape, and sold them to you. All YOU have to do is heat up the oven
All you have to do now is improve the value of the PLR (well, you don’t have to, but we recommend it) and then send traffic to it – targeted traffic of course!!!
We especially like the positive mindset /self- belief angle as we know how important this is to someone starting out in business. If we provide them high quality information some of them will look at our primary business.
Where to Find PLR Products
If you search Google for PLR products you will find yourself presented with many different options and we will always say do your due diligence, ask someone you know and be sensible – cheap isn’t always good!
Bear in mind that if you are selling top tier products and masterminds on the back end (as we do with MOBE) then the value you present via your PLR product has to be of high value to your prospect too!
In the internet marketing / entrepreneurship niche there is always a demand for quality training so once you find a good provider stick with them – they are worth their weight in gold!
Creating Your First Lead Magnet With A PLR Product
Once you have chosen your topic and found and purchased it from the PLR provider and downloaded it to your computer it’s time to get started and personalise it.
You will usually get a package of graphics and eBook covers you can interchange to make it unique or go to Fiverr.com and get someone to create one for you (they can usually format your eBook for you as well if you don’t have the time or skills to do it yourself)
Make sure you read through your eBook first and ensure that the content is what you want and make any amendments, correct spellings etc. Next add your business links (front end offers). Next create a final chapter to the book which will be your story, introduce your business and your signature.
Your signature should include a good quality picture and contact information (skype, email, mobile etc) so your reader can easily reach out to you. Also include your Facebook link and a link to your blog/website if you have one.
The final stage after proofing your work is to create a PDF of the eBook ready to send to your new prospects.
TIP : When writing your report or guide, use a 12 or 14 point font which is easier to read and be sure to provide your report or guide in PDF format. PDFs can be read on any device, which is perfect for our mobile culture.
Use Fiverr.com to format your eBook and create the PDF as well as give you a 2D & 3D images to uses in your promotion and on your Lead Capture Page
Make sure you target the right audience in your marketing of your eBook/Mini Book
