Your Power to Achieve in 2011

We have just returned from 3 Days with Andy Harrington at his life changing “Power to Achieve” Event in London

Here’s a photo of us after we “broke the wood” which was a pretty amazing achievement – something we had seen done (like Tony Robbins Fire Walking) but never done ourselves.

Throughout the weekend we came to learn  that success is not about harnessing knowlege – reading books, going to events and lifetime learning but about what you do with that knowledge.

Those who are the most successful people in the world and who have a winner’s edge realise that knowledge in itself is not power but is a potential power for you to use as you will.

Why are we sharing this with you now you might ask?  Well the reason is that you have to surround yourself by the most successful achievers to realise YOUR potential power.

Andy Harrington is one of those people and we are excited that we will be working with him during 2011.

This year Andy will realise his dream which is to speak on stage with two of the most successful people in the world  – Anthony Robbins and Sir Richard Branson.  This is a unique, once in a lifetime opportunity for him and something he visualised happening.

What about YOU?  Would you like to be there alongside the most powerful achievers in the world? We certainly would and we will be there right up the front!

The good news is that YOU can too because Andy Harrington has a limited number of tickets available.

The National Achievers Congress will definitely be a “sell out” event so you need to make sure this is one event you definitely go to.

“My general philosophy in life is you never really go wrong saying yes.”  Sir Richard Branson

“Remember, a real decision is measured by the fact that you’ve taken new action. If there’s no action, you haven’t truly decided”

The Power of Concentration – Get Out of The Grey Zone

The Power of Concentration – Get out of the Grey Zone and Achieve Success in Your Business

To make the greatest success of anything you absolutely must concentrate your thoughts on what it is you are working on.   Unfortunately, very few people naturally possess the power to concentrate as they should but the good news is that it can be learnt but it requires a mind open to change!

As famously said by Theron Dumont author of The Power of Concentration, “A successful business is not usually the result of chance.  Neither is a failure the result of luck………plans do not work out as their creators thought they would.  They may have to be changed a little, and as you broaden your business you broaden your power to achieve.  You gain an intense and sustained desire to make your business a success”

When you start your business you are fired up to make it successful – you can see in your mind’s eye the end result and what it will mean to you.  That end result may be the lifestyle, the financial freedom, the ‘living the dream’ , whatever it is that spurred you on to get started in the first instance.

But, business success depends on well-concentrated efforts and focus.  Unfortunately with the best will in the world this is where most businesses fail!  It is not for lack of enthusiasm or desire but totally upon lack of concentration and focus which leads to poor productivity.

It’s about concentration

Picture this scenario.  You start the day with good intentions to work on your business.  You have a plan in your head of what you want to achieve.  Then the distractions come along; checking and replying to emails, chatting on skype,  taking phone calls, surfing on the internet and one hundred and one other things (all in the cause of your business you tell yourself).  Hours later you wonder where the time has gone and why you never seem to get anything done.

This is a very common phenomenon and we are all guilty of it to some extent but it is this constant under performance that will completely hijack your business and your resulting success.  For as long as you try to ‘multi task’ you will not achieve the success you desire.

This is what Tony Schwartz calls “The Grey Zone”

In order to get out of and stay out of  ‘the grey zone’ you have to manage your attention, your focus, your concentration.  You need to pick one thing, a task or project, and totally concentrate on that one thing and do it.  Focus your entire attention on completing that one project and then move on to the next.

Plan to be Productive

When you have a plan or a schedule it is far easier to work on your priorities because you can leave aside certain things until it is time to get to them.  The fact that you have planned to get to them in your schedule gives you permission to forget about them for the time being.

This process totally frees up your attention because you can focus on precisely what you are doing right now and as a consequence you become far more productive.

  • Plan each day’s activities carefully and ensure that each thing that you do is done with concise and concentrated thought.
  • Plan to do a specific amount of work each day
  • Never start anything in an indecisive or uncertain way
  • Tackle everything with positiveness
  • Concentrate on one thing at a time
