When you are building a business on line (or offline for that matter) it is very easy to dismiss “social media” as a “nice to have” rather than “a necessity”.
Whenever we speak at seminars and events it always surprises us the number of people who don’t have a Facebook or a Twitter account and have not up until that moment in time considered that it might be important for their business.
Even when we run our internet marketing workshops we occasionally have students who are adverse to having a Facebook account – we do get them over that!
We consider that it is absolutely essential in the 21st century to use social media for not just establishing brand and identity but for establishing trust and building relationships.
